Cleaning Operative (Evenings) - Driver Essential
Coxhead Cleaning Services are currently recruiting for a Cleaning Operative to join our evening operations team.
This role involves carrying out cleaning duties across a range of sites during evening hours. The work is predominantly commercial, including offices and commercial premises, with some school and occasional domestic environments depending on the contract.
A full, clean UK driving licence is essential for this role. Applicants who do not hold a valid driving licence will not be considered.
Working hours
The role is available in one of the following fixed evening working patterns, subject to operational requirements:
· Option 1 – Part-time evenings: Tuesday, Thursday & Friday, 4:30pm – 10:30pm (approximately 16 hours per week)
· Option 2 – Evenings (Monday to Friday): Monday to Friday, 4:30pm – 8:00pm (five evenings per week)

The role
As a Cleaning Operative (Evenings), you will support cleaning teams across multiple locations, working efficiently and professionally as part of a small team. This is a team-based role, not lone working, and requires reliability, consistency, and strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
Key responsibilities
· Carry out cleaning duties during evening hours in line with site-specific cleaning specifications
· Support cleaning teams across multiple locations (travel between sites may be required)
· Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards across commercial premises
· Use cleaning equipment and materials correctly and safely
· Report any issues, defects, or supply shortages promptly
· Maintain a professional and respectful approach when working on client premises
· Follow all company policies, procedures, and health and safety requirements
The successful candidate
· Full, clean UK driving licence (essential)
· Reliable, punctual, and hard-working with a positive work ethic
· Good attention to detail and able to work to cleaning specifications
· Able to work well within a small team
· Clear criminal record required
A DBS check will be carried out where required, and any offer of employment will be subject to satisfactory clearance. Full training and uniform will be provided.
Pay
· Hourly rate above minimum wage, age dependent
· Rate subject to successful completion of probation
