Coxhead Cleaning Services are recruiting for a Cleaning Operative to work within a local school environment as part of our commercial cleaning team.

This role can be offered on a term-time basis subject to operational requirements. Salary is calculated on a pro rata basis and paid in equal monthly instalments across a 12-month period, providing a consistent monthly income.

Working hours

Hours will be agreed in line with the site requirements. Candidates must be reliable and consistent in attendance.

The role

You will carry out cleaning duties to specification to ensure the school environment is hygienic, safe, and presentable. You will work as part of a small on-site team.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out cleaning duties across classrooms, corridors, toilets, and communal areas in line with the cleaning specification
• Work efficiently within agreed timeframes while maintaining high standards
• Use cleaning materials and equipment correctly and safely
• Report issues, defects, or supply shortages promptly
• Maintain professional standards and follow health and safety procedures

Teamworking

You will work as part of a small on-site team. Staff are never required to work alone.

Requirements

• Reliable, punctual, and detail-focused
• Able to work well within a small team
• Clear criminal record required

A DBS check will be carried out, and any offer of employment will be subject to satisfactory clearance. Annual leave entitlement is included within the pro rata calculation and must be taken during non-term time.

Pay

Pro rata salary, paid in equal monthly instalments across 12 months.
